V. Nice set of 4 Buick Riviera wheels...
They've been stored at the back of my shop for at least a decade...
You can see the before and after pictures...
I have owned my 1972 Buick Riviera since 1995, 2nd owner...
Over the last 30 years I've managed to pick up extra Wheels here and there as they've been available... I picked out these four last night, they are all in pretty damn good shape overall, certainly for being 50+ years old...
Condition notes; The Chrome on all of them looks really good...
However, there is that one channel that goes around the wheel, kind of where the valve stem is, that little channel is always the spot where if you're going to get some rust or corrosion it's going to form right in that little trough (basically it holds moisture won't allow water to roll off as the car sits there over time) And there's a couple wheels that have a couple of small spots of corrosion/rust right in that trough area (See all pics) you could easily treat the few little rust areas and touch them up with chrome paint pen... Other than that, like I said, these are actually really good driver quality wheels and especially considering they're over 50-years-old...
As you can see from the first few pictures they virtually look brand new, but that's from 5ft away... But essentially picture number one is what everybody else is going to see LOL...
Okay these are all coded 895... Which corresponds perfectly with the 1971 through 1973 Buick Riviera boat tails...
If you need 853 or 802 there's forums online that say you're going to need a quarter inch spacer and if your center caps have two inch retaining clips or two and a 1/8 inch retaining clips there's another forum that says you can interchange the retaining clips to make them fit etc .. So you can use these wheels on the 1970 and older buicks, just with a few modifications due to brake drum fins and disc brakes and blah blah blah...
I actually have three of the 853s but, I'm going to try to find a Forth, so I can put together a full set, so stay tuned...
I'm most likely going to be selling my 72 Buick Riviera 😞... Circumstances... I paid for my house once already, and now, I have to pay for it all over again but with and additional $100K tacked on top... IYKYK and I'm just tired...
So, if you're the type of person that likes to return s*** please don't buy these LOL... Again, they're 50 year old Wheels, if you want perfect, then go buy some new aftermarket Wheels... If you want some very good used Central Texas 50-year-old chrome Riviera Wheels, then these are the ones for you... I'm going to price them at $745 because I think that's what they're actually worth...
I'm not sure how often these sets pop up in this condition but...
And, my shipping will be $120 flat rate... They will each ship out separately, and they will go out in boxes that are very much going to get them to you in the same condition they leave here...
If you're going to put them on a boat tail Riviera, please do me a favor and send me a picture...
In fact, if you can get some tires mounted on these and you can get them installed on your Riviera within 30 days and send me a picture, I'll send you a $25 refund...
I bought my Riviera when I was 28 years old, I got a back payment check, GI Bill, while in college and I went down to San Antonio, very exclusive gated community called the Dominion, it's where a lot of the San Antonio Spurs players lived at the time, and still do... And, when the owner backed it out of his garage, i swear it looked like it was brand new, I was super happy to get it... But anyway, I digress...
If you have any questions let me know, but I think I pretty much covered everything...
Peace!
